About Me

I currently work at a major investment bank developing front office trading and risk systems. Prior to that I worked at a financial software house as a technical consultant, team leading Linux C/C++, Java J2EE, CORBA and Database development of front office trading systems.

Free Software

If you need to shift the date or time on a Linux or Unix machine you may be interested in dateshift, my date/time testing tool for Linux and Solaris.

I have also written ssltunnel.pl , a firewall tunnelling script for accessing external network resources through a normal web proxy. You can use this to access SSH, CVS hosts and many other TCP/IP based services from behind a firewall.

You can find out more about my involvement with free software. In a simlar vein, I've also put up some linux reminders for myself.

Old Games

You may like to try the games I have written. Be warned that they are fairly old....:

Zapem
This was included in RedHat Linux 2.1. It is a shoot 'em up game for linux using SVGAlib, has sound and joystick support. The development version also runs under 8 bit X11.
dropem.zip
A tetris clone for DOS with simultaneous two player support. Or for 256 colour goodness get A later version in Mode-X . I prefer the original version myself.

Virtual 2600

My third year project at Warwick was an Atari 2600 emulator. I'm no longer developing it due to lack of time. I now recommed Stella, as it is faster and supports more games.

For historical interest or if you are looking for a pure C 2600 emulator to port, check out the Virtual 2600 Home Page .

Friends Websites

If you know me you might be interested in my friends web pages. I make no guarantees that you will like their web site design!.
